Need to setup Samsung Galaxy S8 Straight Talk APN Settings? Since Samsung Galaxy S8 uses Android OS, it is easy to set up the APN Settings in your phone.

1. From you home menu, go to Settings icon.

2. Go to Connections

3. Go to Mobile Networks

4. Go to Access Provider Network (APN)

5. If the Straight Talk APN Setting option appears as an option, then you can simply select if and that is it. If the Straight Talk APN setting does not appear or not already available after you insert your SIM Card, then you will have to manually set up the APN as follows:

If you are a Straight Talk user through T-Mobile Network, you should use the following information:

Name: straight talk
APN: wap.tracfone
Port: 8080
MMSC: http://mms-tracfone.com
MMS proxy: “leave it blank”
MMS port: “leave it blank”
Username: “leave it blank”
Password: “leave it blank”

And that is all for setting the APN. It is recommended that once you finish setting up the APN to restart your phone.

How to setup APN Settings on my phone? Ok, so you just bought an unlocked phone and you need to set up the internet configuration in order to be able to browse data with your carrier SIM Card. It is possible that once you inset the SIM Card the settings may be automatically set up. But it is also possible that it may not be an automatic thing. So if it is not an automatic thing, you will need to manually set up de Access Network Points (APN) in your phone, so that you can enable data using.

There are different carriers in the United States and each carrier uses different APN settings. So you need to locate the right information that corresponds to the carrier you are currently using. In the US there are main carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and also MVNO carriers such as Straight Talk, Simple Mobile, Pure Talk, H20, just to mention the main ones.

Besides from that, the Operative System (OS) of your phone is also important because each tab may have different names when you are finding where to configurated each line. You might be using AndroidiOS (iphone) or Windows Phone.

If you have a phone that was not bought directly from them, you will need to manually configure the Pure Talk APN Settings. If you have an iPhone with updated iOS, you won´t  need to manually configure it, it will normally load automatically, but if it doesnt, we will also show you how to do it.

What does it mean that Pure Talk is a VMNO?
This means that Pure Talk is a company that sells mobile services to the users. But also it means that the network infrastructure that they use in order to sell you the service is owned by another big carrier. In this case, the network infrastructure owner is AT&T. That is why in some of the lines that we will configure the Pure Talk APN Settings you will find some AT&T related information.
