T Mobile APN Settings – How to correctly setup. Among the biggest players in the US mobile phone market stands T-Mobile, the German based Telecommunication giant with a bit over fifty million subscribers in the US. If you are looking for the correct, most updated and fastest APN Settings for T-Mobile, you are in the right place!
There are a few versions of the T Mobile APN Settings out there, and sometimes this could be confusing, this is because depending whether your mobile phone support 3G, or 4G LTE and whether you are subscribed directly to T-Mobile or through another party (e. g. Straight Talk), the good news is that we are going to tell you exactly which one you should use.
T-Mobile APN Settings – Complete Details
For Direct T-Mobile Subscribers: for those that have a direct contract or prepaid services with T-Mobile, and you have older phones (standard smartphone, e. g. Samsung Galaxy S, Blackberry Curve, iPhone 3G, etc.)

MMS proxy: <Leave in Blank>
MMS port: <Leave in Blank>
The rest of the values can be left Blank or Default. If on the other hand you own a newer, faster phone which supports 4G LTE speed, you should change the APN value to fast.tmobile.com, the rest of the settings remain the same (this is called the T-Mobile 4G LTE APN Setting)
For Straight Talk Subscribers. If you are using the service through a MVNO, in this case you should use the Straight Talk T-Mobile APN Settings, which is quite different:
Name: straight talk
MMS Proxy: Leave blank
MMS Port: Leave blank
T Mobile APN Settings – How to set it up on my phone?
Once you locate the correct T-Mobile APN Settings provided in the list above, you should follow these direct and simple steps to update these values in your phone.
For Android users, please go Settings, then Wireless Connections, select more and under Mobile Networks you will see Access Point Names.
If you have an iPhone or iPad, go to Setup, then General, Network and finally Mobile Data.
For Windows Phone users: Slide on the main screen to the Left and you´ll be shown the Phone´s menu. Select Settings and then Cellular. Scroll down to the bottom and select Edit Internet APN.
As always, we highly recommend no to edit existing APN´s, but always create new set of APNs, and reboot your phone after saving the changes.
